Low-Pressure Book Circle With Thoughtful Sharing

The Divine Within Circle is a women’s book circle where we will follow along with the author’s transformation from a traditional Christian wife, mother and writer to a Goddess-appreciating independent woman. We’ll share our own experiences growing up in patriarchal society and religion and share tactics to harness our own personal power.

Don’t have much time to read?

I’ll give you some easy excerpts so you’re always involved in the discussion. Sit down with your new gal tribe once a month and experience support and connection that will change your life.

In four sessions together we will:

  • Hold a safe space to share and behold each other’s experiences, helping heal our patriarchal wounds.
  • Learn about the roles we have obediently inhabited while sacrificing our power and freedom.
  • Witness Kidd’s awakening and the rifts it caused in her relationships.
  • Learn ways we can reconcile feminism with spirit and soul healing to find and express the divine, living more fully integrated and fulfilling lives.

Sessions on Tuesdays at 7-8:30pm over Zoom on September 28th, October 19, November 9 and December 7th. $60 for the series. Limited to 12 participants.

The book:

Dance of the Dissident Daughter by Sue Monk Kidd

Sue was a “conventionally religious, churchgoing woman, a traditional wife and mother” with a career as a Christian writer until she began to question her role as a woman in her culture, her family, and her church. From a sexist encounter in a suburban drugstore to rituals in the caves of Crete, Kidd takes us through the fear, anger, healing, and transformation of her awakening.
